The Stratos series features an AirSpeed back system with tensioned mesh. This back system offers unparalleled ventilation and comfort during your hikes. The ventilation cut-outs in the EVA foam of the Spacermesh shoulder and hip belt provide additional ventilation. All Stratos models have an internal bladder compartment where the bladder can easily be stowed away so you can drink plenty of fluids, especially on hot days.
AirSpeed Carrying System
The AirSpeed carrying system consists of an aluminium alloy LightWire frame and a tensioned 3D mesh back. Lateral crescent-shaped cut-outs provide additional ventilation. All contact surfaces are either covered with breathable mesh fabric or consist of perforated and moulded waffle foam. Whether you're climbing a 4000-meter mountain, hiking along the Rennsteig or competing in the 24-hour race, this backpack sits comfortably and won't slip or pinch.
The innovative Stow-on-the-Go fastening makes it possible to stow the trekking poles on the side of the backpack. So the hiker doesn't have to stop or slow down.
The right size
For the backpack to deliver what it promises, it must sit correctly and comfortably. Body weight and height cannot always be equated with certain sizes, because people with the same body size often have different back lengths, hip widths or shoulder widths. So take your time when choosing your backpack. To determine the back length, measure from the iliac crest - the highest point of the hip bone on the body side - to the lowest cervical vertebra (C7), which is clearly visible when you bend your head forward. Back length is the decisive factor in choosing the right backpack size.
